![]() ![]() With its gentle curve and colourful shopfronts, Victoria Street in the Old Town has to be one of the most photographed locations in the city. ![]() Today a mecca for shopping and dining out, in the 1800’s the street was largely associated with banking, which has left a legacy on many of the buildings – most notably the large classical columns on The Dome, which was built in 1845 as the head office of the Commercial Bank.Ĭreated in 1856 as a link from the High Street to Waverley Station, Cockburn Street is a popular Edinburgh filming location, being used for scenes in the Avengers: Infinity War and Trainspotting 2. With its elegant Georgian architecture and wide pavements, George Street is an attractive part of the city. Designed in the mid-19 th century to give a new and grand entrance to the city, Corinthian columns decorate many of the buildings in this street. The latest instalment in the Fast & Furious franchise roared into UK cinema’s in 2021.īuckle up for the ninth chapter in the saga that has endured for almost two decades and has earned more than $5 billion around the world.įF9 sees the return of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and co as they once again join forces to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom and Letty’s long lost brother, Jakob (John Cena). Justin Lin isn't saying anything about where Mr Nobody is as "it definitely plays into something bigger" which might be a nod towards another F9 theory: Mr Nobody also faked Gisele's death.(Image Credit: Alamny Live News - Fast & Furious filming on Victoria Street) We know from how Mr Nobody kept Han 'dead' all these years that he has the capability to stay hidden and presumed dead, so it wouldn't be a stretch – especially in the world of Fast & Furious which has now included space travel in a car. Once it crashed, Mr Nobody knew that he had to go into hiding and trusted in Dom to save the day. The most likely explanation, as far as we tell, is that Jakob left Mr Nobody on the plane as he had what he came for (Cipher) and could come back for the half of Project Aries he was after. And if he did kill him, then we'd think that Dom or somebody else would have found his body in the plane wreckage. Jakob took Cipher from the plane and presumably left before it crashed, so did he take Mr Nobody as well? He used to work for him, so he might well have had a grudge to settle and he might have taken him to the same location where they were keeping Cipher.Įven though he starts the movie as a villain, Jakob is a good guy by the end, so we don't think he'd kill Mr Nobody in cold blood on the plane or afterwards. We do see Mr Nobody in flashbacks when he helps Han fake his death, but these took place a long time before the plane crash and we see nothing of Mr Nobody in the 'present' day, so it's unclear whether he died in the crash or not. Again though, Mr Nobody is nowhere to be found and to be fair to Dom and co, they have a world to save and Jakob to stop, so it never really becomes an issue in the movie. Ramsey finds some coordinates tied to the signal he sent, which leads them to his secret base somewhere in the Caspian Sea. So is Mr Nobody actually dead or is he just in hiding? Jakob is after Project Aries too, so he soon arrives and a car chase over landmines and collapsing bridges ensues and Mr Nobody becomes an afterthought. But that's not the big mystery around this sequence as when Dom, Letty, Roman, Tej and Ramsey arrive in Montequinto at the site of the plane crash, there's no sign of Mr Nobody (unless they just didn't want to show us his corpse) and all they find is half of Project Aries. ![]()
